Everytime I have a product from Paula’s Choice, I can’t help but get excited. So far, I have not tried a Paula’s Choice product that I didn’t like but then again, there are only a few I have tried so maybe if I try more, I’ll have a different perspective on the brand. Well, I have a few more PC skincare I want to try and review here but for now let me share my thoughts on their Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer.

PRO-COLLAGEN AND PRO PLUMP

Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer is a cushiony, non-greasy formula that saturates every surface cell in hydration to visibly plump and improve bounce. 3X Pro-Collagen Peptides support and sustain healthy collagen and elastin levels. Our foundation-friendly moisturizer won’t pill under makeup and preps skin for a boosted glow.

  • Clinically proven to visibly plump & improve bounce*
  • 90% saw instant plumping**
  • 24-hour hydration
  • Help maintain healthy collagen levels

The Pro-Collagen Peptide Moisturizer comes in a pink, plastic pump bottle with 50 ml of product. There’a light pink tint to the moisturizer that the brand attributes to vitamin B12. This is the first time I’ve encountered vit.B12 anyway so I’m not sure if that’s always the case with other vit. B12-based skincare. It’s completely unscented and does not contain fragrance.

It has dimethicone, squalane, glycerin, acetyl sh-hexapeptide-5 amide acetate, oligopeptide-1, tridecapeptide-1, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate and cyanocobalamin (vit. B12). The main ingredients in here are the peptides, which are amino acids that make up protein molecules. Peptides have anti-aging and soothing properties. Some peptides stimulate collagen and elastin production, some can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and some prevent the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. In addition, they also have anti-inflammatory, hydrating and skin barrier repairing properties. In effect, they can soften and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and over time, with continuous use, may help skin look and feel more firm.

It has a gel-cream type of texture making it more hydrating than a typical gel moisturizer but not too thick or dense that it leaves a greasy feeling on my skin. So yes, it doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy feeling on my face on application. It fits my oily and dehydrated skin so well that I can use as my morning and evening moisturizer. It leaves a soft datin glow on my skin which I really love. I use about half a pump of it which is enough to cover my face and neck. When I first tried this, I dispensed a whole pump on the back of my hand only to find out it was too much so I ended up applying the rest to the back of my hands and upper chest.

Here’s my before-and-after photo with this moisturizer.

I’m completely in love with this moisturizer so I’m giving it my TWO THUMBS UP. It supposedly suits all skin types but I personally think it will suit oily and combination skin types the most given its consistency, and also those who are living in countries with the same type of weather and climate as the Philippines.

Have you tried any moisturizer or product from Paula’s Choice? Which ones are your favorites? Let me know down below because I want to try more from them.
